Cuffley Open Day Terms & Conditions 

1. Organiser

The Open Day is organised by Cuffley Active Learning Centre, part of Active Learning Group, and is designed to give teachers, education professionals, and parents an insight into our educational trips and summer camps available across Active Learning Centre, The Bushcraft Company, and Camp Wilderness.

2. Attendance

• The Open Day will take place on 19th February 2026 at Cuffley Active Learning Centre, Cuffley, Potters Bar, EN6 4PR.
• Event times: 10:00 – 14:00.
• The Open Day is open to UK-based teachers, parents, group leaders, and education professionals.
• Attendance must be confirmed before 19th February 2026 via our website:
  adventure.activelearningcentres.co.uk/Cuffley-Open-Day.
• A completed health and safety waiver must be submitted prior to the event.
• On arrival, attendees will be signed in by a member of the Active Learning Centre team.
• Please ensure there is a maximum ratio of 4 children to 1 adult.
• Due to limited capacity, large groups or full school groups are not permitted.

3. What to Expect

• Children aged 7 and above can enjoy a selection of activities and explore our facilities and outdoor learning spaces.
• The maximum age for taking part in activities is 16.
• The ALC team will be available throughout the event to answer questions and discuss programme options.

4. General Terms

• Cuffley Active Learning Centre reserves the right to amend or update Open Day details if required.
• By attending, schools give permission for non-identifiable images (e.g. wide shots of the event) to be used in promotional materials unless they request otherwise on the day.
• No fees are charged for attending the Open Day.
• All children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.
• Activities are available for participants aged 7+, except Tomahawks which are restricted to ages 9+.
• Any relevant medical or dietary information (e.g. for pizza-making or food-based activities) must be shared in advance via our waiver form, available on the webpage once the initial booking form is completed.
• Activities may be subject to change based on weather conditions, operational requirements, or safety considerations.

5. Open Day Competition

• To enter the competition to win a free 1-day school trip at Cuffley Active Learning Centre, attendees must be a teacher or education professional and must attend the Open Day.
• Once signed in at the welcome desk, eligible attendees will be entered into a prize draw to win a 1-day school trip for up to 40 students and 4 teachers.
• The winner will be selected at random and contacted via email or phone during w/c 23rd February 2026.
• The school trip must take place before 30th September 2026.
• The prize cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
• The trip must be booked in advance and is subject to availability.
• Travel to and from the centre is not included.
• By entering, attendees give permission for their school name to be used in promotional materials (e.g. website and social media) to announce the winner.
• No cash alternative will be offered.
• Dates are subject to availability.

6. Data Protection

• Contact details collected during sign-in will only be used to administer attendance and send relevant follow-up information.
• Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
