By working within each of the three contrasting environments of woodland, coast and mountains, we create age-appropriate itineraries that offer a stimulating range of activities aimed at building character, developing essential skills, and promoting wellbeing. Autumn Trips

Curriculum Support
We welcome the opportunity to work alongside you and your team to design a trip for your students that makes the most of the woods and classrooms at Cuffley. Come to the woodlands to teach your class in a new environment that will help expand their understanding of the curriculum.
Within our 96-acres, which is mostly comprised of SSSI (a Site of Special Scientific Interest), Cuffley Active Learning Centre provides the perfect setting for an educational visit to promote a wider understanding of the natural environment.

In addition to curriculum support within or across specific subject areas, we can create practical, hands-on courses that focus on STEM (or STEAM) and / or Essential Skills development. The Cuffley STEM Challenge aims to immerse students in nature and educate them on the dramatic effect the decline of biodiversity has on all living creatures, including humans, and the way they interact. During this educational trip, the Cuffley STEM Challenge invites visiting students to get creative and design a home for nature, using natural and technical solutions to improve the biodiversity of our woodland campus.
Who is it for?
Available for Primary and Secondary pupils, The Cuffley STEM Challenge can be run as a day course or as a two-day residential course to fully engage your students. Our Cuffley STEM Challenge has been designed to help young people develop their creativity, problem-solving skills and employability by tackling real-world challenges.

Summer Residentials
Cuffley offers the perfect woodland environment to allow your students to push their boundaries and develop their understanding through outdoor education. With the opportunity to immerse themselves in the calming 96 acres of ancient woodland, they’ll take part in planned activities and challenge themselves as individuals or in teams, developing essential skills such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork.
