At Cuffley Active Learning Centre, our mission is to ignite students’ potential through exciting outdoor adventures that build skills, character, and wellbeing. With itineraries tailored to the age, experience and abilities of the students, there’s enough to keep them busy!
Our trips are an opportunity to get away from technology, explore the great outdoors and enjoy spending time away from the classroom! We don’t just give a taste of adventure but inspire a life time of it!

Situated conveniently for London, Cuffley is just 10 minutes from Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, and is close to the M25 for easy coach access. Cuffley is also accessible by train (we can provide transport to site). The 96- acre woodland site is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and contains a wonderful range of flora and fauna.
Our wonderful discrete woodland campsites accommodate the group on their very own private camp.
Sleep under the stars in our lovely safari-style bell tents. The spacious tents sleep approximately 10 students and are the perfect accommodation for your outdoor adventure.
Positioned around a central yurt, with a cosy campfire, this set up allow full immersion into the beautiful surrounding woodland giving a magical camping experience to all.
We cater for dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and allergies. The school sends over all requirements before the trip to ensure we have everything we need. Please make sure the school has the correct information for your child. We know that some children are very particular about what they eat and if the meals on offer don’t suit we can provide a plain alternative.
